Russian court suspends case vs Vnukovo over Total CEO death
MOSCOW, Aug 23 (PRIME) -- The Moscow Arbitration Court suspended a case from five foreign insurers against the Vnukovo airport over death of CEO of French oil and gas maker Total Christophe de Margerie on October 20, 2014, on Tuesday.
The insurers paid 1 million euros in compensations on insurance of live of de Margerie, the flight crew and the aircraft, and wanted to reclaim the losses upon people deemed to have caused the tragedy.
A representative for the claimants: Berkshire Hathaway International Insurance ltd, Tokio Marine Kiln Insuranse ltd, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company, Great Lakes Reinsurance, and Mapfre Global Risks Compania, demanded suspension of the case over losses until a criminal investigation of Margerie’s plane crash is compled.
